Senior SchoolExceptional GCSE Results

Raphael Independent School ranked 2nd in Havering for GCSE results, with 89% of students achieving 5 or more A-C grade GCSEs.

Our senior school offers the best progression from a child's primary education. Senior school pupils develop their understanding of subjects from primary school, with the opportunity to expand their knowledge into additional subjects. Small class sizes help to provide a high quality of education.

All Year 10 and 11 students take non-examinable courses in P.S.C.H.E (including Careers and Citizenship) and P.E.

Pupils with Special Educational Needs are taught within our Senior classes, but we do not have specialist staff or facilities for providing tuition in separate groups. Similarly, pupils for whom English is an additional language are taught with our Senior classes, but we do not have specialist staff to provide additional help. Should a pupil with a statement be admitted to our school, we would endeavour to meet their needs fulfilling requirements. We are willing to welcome input from outside agencies such as the Dyslexia Institute; and we allow pupils to attend tutorials during curriculum time.

Careers guidance begins in year 10, continuing into year 11. It is delivered by the Head, S11 form tutor and our Havering Careers Advisor.
